Each year, GardenComm recognizes industry excellence and service to the association with its Honors program. Nomations open in February each year and can be made by or on behalf of any qualified nominee. All nominations are then reviewed by the GardenComm Honors Committee and winners are announced in June. Honors presentations take place during the GardenComm Annual Conference and Expo during the Awards & Honors Dinner.
Hall of Fame Member ( See past winners ) is the highest honor GardenComm can bestow on a person whose life and career has materially affected and advanced the mission and values of GardenComm. Self-nominations are welcome.
Honorary Member ( See past winners ) recognizes a non-member who has contributed measurably to the GardenComm mission and values through professional or avocational activities, but is not otherwise qualified for GardenComm membership. Self-nominations are welcome.
Fellow ( See past winners ) recognizes a member in good standing who has demonstrated exceptionally high degrees of skill, professional ethics and dedication to the GardenComm mission and values. Two members may be elected Fellows each year. Self-nominations are welcome.
Wilfred J. Jung Distinguished Service Medal ( See past winners ) is awarded to an allied member who has contributed significantly to the promotion of home gardening and garden communications. Only one award winner may be named each year. Self-nominations are welcome.
Emergent Communicator Award ( See past winners ) recognizes a member under the age of 40 who has demonstrated exceptionally high degrees of skill, professional ethics and dedication to the GardenComm mission and values. One award winner will be named each year. Self-nominations are welcome.
Cynthia Westcott Scientific Writing Award ( See past winners ) recognizes individuals who communicate new ideas, concepts or scientific findings related to horticulture and gardening in terms that are easily understood by laypersons. Self-nominations are welcome.
Green Medal Sustainability Award ( See past winners ) recognizes the accomplishments of individuals or allied organizations working to address wise and respectful use of the land. Self-nominations are welcome.
Note: Sitting officers and directors of GardenComm are not eligible for GardenComm Honors.

GardenComm congratulates recipients of its 2018 Honors, recognizing excellence and service in the green communicators industry. Honorees were presented their awards during the 2018 Awards & Honors Dinner at the 2018 Annual Conference & Expo in Chicago, IL on Thursday, August 16.
